School Uniform

Woodlea has its own distinctive uniform.  We believe it helps to give the children a feeling of identity and pride in their school.  All clothing worn to school should be clearly marked with your child’s name.  We expect and appreciate the support of parents in maintaining our dress code.

Most items of uniform are available from retailers or chain stores.  Asterisked items are available from our school supplier, Marks & Spencer Your School Uniform which is available to purchase online via http://www.mandsyourschooluniform.com/  or by phone 0333 014 8418 (9am-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday).  Please note this is not available to buy in stores.

Jewellery

Watches may be worn but standard display only please, smart watches are not permitted.  These are brought into school at children's own risk.  Girls and boys are not permitted to wear earrings due to health and safety reasons.  For this reason, we politely ask that children only have their ears pierced at the beginning of the summer holidays.

Hair and Make-Up

Boys and girl's hair must not be excessively styled for school and long hair must be tied back with subtle, sensible hair accessories for health and safety reasons. Make-up and nail varnish must not be worn to school. Exceptions may be made for Mufti days and other special occasions.  This is at the discretion of the headteacher.

Lost Property

Please ensure that all children's belongings are clearly named.  Named lost property is returned to the child.  Unnamed lost property is kept in the porch lockers and if unclaimed is then sold in the second hand uniform sale or recycled.
