We use the Pearson Phonic Bug Club scheme to teach phonics daily in EYFS, KS1, and in KS2 where it is felt appropriate.

Infants follow the Pearson Phonic Bug reading book scheme (government approved) which closely matches their phonics knowledge. 

Spelling in KS2 builds on the children's phonics knowledge using materials to support the expectations in the 2014 English curriculum.

In the juniors, we use a reciprocal reading pedagogy to support both whole class and guided reading. We continue to build our texts to ensure a diet of diverse books in guided reading.
