During the day they learnt some Latin words and Roman numerals. They also used our shields to practice the testudo formation, used in the Roman army. Using mosaic tiles, they created small coasters and looked at the types of mosaics Romans used to have. In the afternoon, they built our own fire in the new outdoor classroom and roasted some leeks (and, of course, some marshmallows!).
