Meeting the needs of pupils with SEND

Woodlea Primary School is part of the Tandridge Learning Trust located within the county of Surrey. The school works with Surrey County Council to support the needs of children with Special Education, Needs and Disabilities. Information of Surrey’s local offer can be found here.

Woodlea uses the SEND Code of Practice (2015) to ensure it complies with statutory duties and we pride ourselves on building a strong sense of belonging within the school community.

The SEND information report (click here) provides parents with information regarding our approach to supporting children and their families with SEND. We also ensure that we make reasonable adjustments to access learning through Surrey’s Ordinary Available Provision guidance.

Our SEND Policy (link policy)  highlights key members of staff as well as our approach to supporting accessing the curriculum, using the graduated approach, as well as accessing outside agencies and support. We use Insight to carefully track children’s progress and create Individual Support Plans (ISP’s) which are shared with children and parents.
