School Day
Reception/Key stage 1
Morning: 8.45am – 12.00pm
Afternoon: 1.00pm – 3.15pm
Key stage 2
Morning: 8.45am – 12.00pm
Afternoon: 1.00pm – 3.20pm
We meet the minimum expectations of 32.5 hour full school week.
Children should arrive in school a few minutes before the start of the school day; there is a member of staff on duty on the playground from 8.35am and we would encourage parents to allow sufficient journey time to allow for traffic around the school. We believe that punctuality is important and encourages good habits and we urge you to ensure your child arrives at school on time.
Soft Start to the School Day
From January 7th 2026, we will be introducing a soft start to the school day, similar to the arrangements currently used by Lambs class and on rainy mornings. Children will be able to enter the school building from 8:35am, where they will begin calm, purposeful morning activities in their classrooms. This will support a settled start to the day and help children be ready for learning as lessons begin. Please note: The register will be taken at 8:45am as normal and children entering school after 8:45am, will be marked as late as we do currently.

The playground is staffed from 8.35am every morning. For health and safety reasons, we ask that children are not dropped off at school before this time.
